Even though we laugh, we all know that it really isn’t all that funny. I have had some uncomfortable experiences getting dental work done in the past and I often wait until it reaches a crisis level before going back to the dentist.
Recently I heard about sedation dentistry, which raised my interest since I was in need of two root canals.
I came in for a consultation and found it to be very reassuring. I scheduled the work and had two root canals done at one sitting. The experience for me was significantly peaceful and pleasant.
Dr. Klump and his staff were very warm and encouraging. All my questions were answered and I received excellent care. This experience has changed the way I approach getting dental work in the future. “This is to let you know that I have received your call regarding my new dentures. They are alright. They fit comfortably. But I have to learn to chew with them, talk with them and smile with them. “On the day of my procedure, I ate a light breakfast to accompany the medication I was to take pre-op. after arriving at the dentists office about one and ½ hours later, the medication was starting to kick in, so the in processing went fairly quick. The procedure lasted about three hours, after which I was taken back home to recuperate. I slept most of the day, not requiring any pain killers, of having to tend to excessive bleeding from the implant area. (There was some minor bleeding for the first day, and there was more of minor discomfort than pain.) That evening, I was able to eat solid food, maintaining the chewing on the side of the incision. The next day, the pain was still absent, along an absence of swelling. All-in-all, the experience was good. The amazing thing was, lack of pain and swelling, and to be able to eat solid food that same evening!
